My Civilian Life

My Dad

I spent 12 years in the Marine Corps, serving on both coasts and overseas.  I was an Intelligence Analyst for seven years, and an Interrogator-Translator (Russian) for another five.  Once you become a Marine, you stay a Marine, no matter where you go in life.  It is an experience unlike any other.  The Marine Corps Birthday is November 10th.  This day is celebrated across the country and around the world by Marines everywhere.  Marines from WWI (there are still a few around), to Operation Iraqi Freedom, and all places and times inbetween come together and celebrate the birth of our beloved Corps.

This is a multimedia presentation I created for a class at Northcentral Technical College, where I got my degree in Networking.  It is broken up into several pieces, and you need Real Player to view it.

In my spare time, I am the administrator for a discussion board for people with an interest in the Marine Corps, called Marine Moms Online . It's not just for Moms; we have Dads, wives, girlfriends, brothers, sisters, and even some Marines, like me. We offer advice and friendship to anyone who has a Marine in their family.  We have a growing FAQ section, that covers all points in a Marine's career, from being a Poolee, to after active duty. We currently have over 9000 registered members.

From this link, click on the Discussion Board. There are other parts of Marine Moms Online that I don't deal with, such as the Yahoo! Group, that you might want to be part of
