Box-Jointed Blanketbox w/EGA This box has a nice big
EGA on the front, with a plain, breadboarded lid, box joints at the corners,
and a cedar lining to keep out the pests. It also has nice brass
handles on the end to make picking it up easier. The box is made of
pine, and stained with Minwax "Early American", a nice medium brown that
really emphasizes the corner details. Several coats of Minwax Wipe-On Satin
Gloss polyurethane gives this box a deep luster.

Box-Jointed Blanketbox with EGA and Iwo Jima Flag Raising
This is a very nice box using the Red Mahogany stain again. I made
this box while I was still working on my copy of the Iwo Jima flag raising
image. I actually had to put several versions together to get the best
image. The first time I engraved the image, it was too small.
That is when I incorporated parts of an uncropped version of the photo.
Rather than glue up a whole new panel, I just flipped it over. The
first image looked really nice, just not what I wanted, so I framed it out,
rather than cover it up, when I lined the box with cedar. It made a
nice little surprise for my customer. |

Raised Panel Box with VMGR-234 Logos and EGAs
This box has the VMGR-234 logo on the front panels and EGAs on the end
panels. The lid has a C-130 in a bank, with the squadron logo in the
bottom right corner and an EGA shadowed into the upper right corner. The
inside of the lid is personalized with a message from the Mom to her Marine.
The whole box is stained with Golden Oak.
